With over 16 years of federal immigration litigation experience, Ozlem Barnard has represented both the government and immigrants across the country.

As a Trial Attorney at the DOJ’s Office of Immigration Litigation (OIL), she handled complex cases involving mandamus, APA, habeas, and class-action challenges.

Earlier, as a Trial Attorney at ICE, she prosecuted and advised on high-profile cases in multiple circuits.
She has trained immigration judges, attorneys, and officers nationwide and continues to mentor practitioners who want to strengthen their advocacy and elevate their practice.
Ozlem earned her LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law and holds a Professional Mediation Certificate from Cornell University.
